Overview
Lumaru ("we", "our", "us") builds iOS and macOS apps. We respect your privacy and designed our apps to collect as little data as possible. This policy applies to all apps published by Lumaru on the Apple App Store and Mac App Store.
Data stored on your device
Our apps store data locally on your device to function. This may include:
- App settings and preferences — your configuration choices, stored on-device.
- Game progress — scores, levels, and achievements in our games.
- Health and nutrition data — meal plans, weight entries, calorie and protein tracking in our health apps. This data is yours and stays on your device.
- User-created content — checklists, notes, custom items, and other content you create within our apps.
We do not have access to any data stored locally on your device.
iCloud sync
Some of our apps use Apple's iCloud services (including CloudKit) to sync your data across your own devices. This data is stored in your personal iCloud account, protected by your Apple ID. We do not have access to your iCloud data.
Apple Health (HealthKit)
Some of our apps may read from or write to Apple Health with your explicit permission. Health data is handled entirely by Apple's HealthKit framework and is never sent to our servers, shared with third parties, or used for advertising. You can revoke HealthKit access at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Health.
Third-party services
Our apps may use the following Apple-provided services:
- Apple Game Center — leaderboards and achievements.
- Apple StoreKit — in-app purchases and subscriptions, processed entirely by Apple.
- Apple CloudKit — syncing your data across your devices via your iCloud account.
- Apple HealthKit — reading and writing health data with your permission.
- Apple Push Notifications — for reminders you configure within our apps.
We do not use third-party analytics or tracking SDKs. Some of our apps are free and ad-supported; ads are served by Google AdMob. These ads may use device-level signals to measure performance, but we do not share personal information, and you can limit ad personalization in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising and Tracking. Paid apps are ad-free.
What we don't collect
We do not collect, store, or transmit:
- Names, email addresses, or contact information
- Location data
- Device identifiers or fingerprints
- Usage analytics or behavioral data
- Payment or financial information
We do not require account creation in any of our apps.
Children's privacy
Our apps do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Since we do not collect personal data from any user, our apps are safe for all ages.
Data sharing
We do not sell, trade, or share any user data with third parties. We have no servers that receive your data.
Data deletion
Since all data is stored on your device (and optionally in your personal iCloud account), you can delete it at any time by using the reset/delete options within the app or by uninstalling the app. Removing the app deletes all locally stored data.
Changes to this policy
If we update this policy, the changes will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date.
